This book is an important, realistic read that will resonate with so many women.

If you’ve ever sent your location to a friend before a date, or walked home at night with your keys between your fingers “just in case,” Just In Case by J.R. Vieira is one for you.
Jess has such a gift with words, her characters feel familiar, likeable, and painfully real. Despite being a short story, it carries so much weight. It’s packed with meaning, tension, and truths we rarely speak about out loud. The ending left me with a feeling I can’t fully describe… empty yet whole, satisfied yet aching. Because it really does make you think, and then rethink... It certainly stays with you.
This is absolutely a five-star read. We should all learn to channel our inner Lara Croft… and we should all be lucky enough to have a friend like Steph.
This book made me grateful for the incredible women in my own life, the ones who show up, lift me up, and protect me. My own Stephs. 💞
Highly recommended.
Thank you for the arc.
