If you’ve ever sent your location to a friend before a date, or walked home at night with your keys between your fingers “just in case,” Just In Case by J.R. Vieira is one for you.
My book, 'Til Death Do Us Part, is nominated in 3 categories in this year's IndieVerse Book Awards:
🔪Gives me Goosebumps
🔪Left me Thinking
🔪Book I Would Re-Read
I read (or watched, because Washburn’s writing pulls you straight into the scene like you’re standing in the woods with them) The Tickle Monster by David Washburn, and wow… what a tense little rollercoaster.
They say writers pour pieces of themselves into their stories, and with The Neighbour, I poured in more than I realised.
In the acknowledgements, I wrote how personal this short story is to me. It wasn’t just another suspense idea. It came from memories, fears, and moments that still sit with me.
